Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it. It is written to meet the Kenyan Data Protection Act, 2019.
What we collect
- Contact details, name, phone number, email and delivery address
- Order details, what you bought, when, and how you paid
- Health information, prescriptions you upload and any notes you give a pharmacist
How we use it
To dispense and deliver your order, to let a pharmacist check a prescription before supply, to keep the dispensing records the law requires us to keep, and to contact you about an order.
Health information
Prescriptions and related health information are sensitive personal data. They are stored separately from the public site, are readable only by our pharmacists and authorised staff, and are never used for marketing or shared with advertisers.
Payments
Payments are processed by Paystack. Card details are entered on Paystack's own secure page and never reach our servers. We receive only a transaction reference and the outcome.
Who else sees your data
Only our delivery riders (name, phone, address, never your prescription), our payment processor, Google Analytics as described below, and regulators or authorities where we are legally required to disclose. We never sell your data.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, how people find us, and which products are viewed, added to the basket and bought. It sets cookies in your browser and sends this information to Google.
What Google Analytics receives is about the visit and the products, not about you. We do not send your name, phone number, delivery address or any prescription to it. You can stop Google Analytics on every site you visit with Google's own opt out add on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
Reviews of your order
After you buy something we use Google Customer Reviews, which asks whether you were happy with the order. To do that we give Google your order number, your email address and the date your order was due. Google uses them only to send you that one survey.
You choose whether to take part: the invitation appears on the page after you pay, and if you do not accept it, no survey is sent. We never give Google the medicines on your order or anything from your prescription.
How long we keep it
Dispensing records are retained for the period required by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board. Order and account records are kept for seven years for tax purposes.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. Email privacy@monalifepharmaceuticals.com or call +254 790 495 867.
